Betting on the totalisator is conducted on a pari-mutuel basis. After deduction of Goods & Services Tax and Singapore Pools' commission, the balance is paid out as dividends to the winners. Singapore Pools' commission for Win and Place vary from 0% to 18% of the investment. Commission for Forecast and Place Forecast is at 18%. Commission for Tierce, Trio, and Quartet is at 25%.

Win

  • Select a horse to finish first.
  • Unit bet value $5
  • Minimum dividend $6 for Singapore meetings except when, at its sole discretion, a minimum Win dividend of $5.30 is declared for certain races.
  • $5.30 for all other meetings.

Roll Win

  • Select the winning horses correctly in 2 or 3 races in order to win.
  • The winning dividend and/or refund from each race will be automatically rolled over to the next selected race.
  • Roll Win is offered on Singapore and Hong Kong races and shares the same betting pool as WIN bet.

Place

  • Select a horse to finish first, second or third where the total number of runners is 7 or more. Where the number of runners is 4, 5 or 6, select a horse to finish first or second.
  • Unit bet value $5
  • Minimum dividend $5.10

Forecast

  • Select two horses to finish first and second in any order in a race.
  • Unit bet value $2
  • Minimum dividend $2.50

Place Forecast

  • Select any two horses to finish first and second or first and third or second and third in any order.
  • Unit bet value $2
  • Minimum dividend $2.50

Tierce

  • Select three horses to finish first, second and third in the correct order.
  • Unit bet value $2
  • Minimum dividend $3

Trio

  • Select three horses to finish first, second and third in any order.
  • Unit bet value $2
  • Minimum dividend $3

Quartet

  • Select four horses to finish first, second, third and fourth in the correct order.
  • Unit bet value $2
  • Minimum dividend $3

Flexi-Quartet

  • Select four horses to finish first, second, third and fourth in the correct order.
  • Unit bet value of minimum $20 or 10% of the cost of full unit, whichever is higher
  • Incremental investment of $1
  • Minimum dividend $0.05
