Operating from its office on the second level of Singapore Pools’ Hougang N2 Branch since late January 2010, Caring Fleet is a new social enterprise that aims to provide highly efficient, safe and reliable door-step transport services for persons with physical disabilities and mobility needs, thus improving their quality of life.

Caring Fleet's maiden trip turned out to be a memorable one. Visitors including two non-ambulant officials from the Rehabilitation Advisory Committee (RAC) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) traveled with the Caring Fleet during their 24 to 27 February 2010 study trip in Singapore.

Under the Singapore Pools Community Housing Scheme, the second level unit of the Singapore Pools Hougang N1 Branch has been extended to Caring Fleet on a rent-free basis while Tote Board funded the costs of renovation. "With support from Tote Board and Singapore Pools, Caring Fleet is able to provide the much needed specially-equipped door-step transport services to enhance the quality of life for persons with physical disabilities and mobility needs,” said Mr B K Ng, Executive Director of Caring Fleet.
