i-CARE at Metta Charity Walk cum Family Carnival 2009
Staff volunteers from i-CARE, one of six teams under Singapore Pools' Staff Community Programme, i-SHINE (I Shine - Serving from the Heart and In Nurturing Everyone), participated in the Metta Charity Walk cum Family Carnival 2009 held on 7 June. Member of Parliament for East Coast GRC and advisor to East Coast GRC GROs, Ms Jessica Tan Soon Neo was the Guest-of-Honour.

An annual event supported by i-CARE, its members raised a total of $3,059 for the Metta School through the sale of ice-cream, drinks, face-painting, and balloon sculptures for young children on the day of the Carnival, as well as the sale of carnival coupons to Singapore Pools staff and their families before the Carnival. A team of staff, led by i-CARE advisor, Director of Corporate Services, Mrs Janet Seow, also took part in the 3.5 km Metta Charity Walk in the morning.

i-SHINE member, Danica said, "I am very happy to be part of the i-CARE team and participate in this yearly carnival to help in fund-raising for a good cause. Despite the hard work and perspiration on that day, the whole team felt it was worth it!"
