Fundraising for President's Challenge
Throughout the year, i-SHINE teams continuously create and seek opportunities to raise money for over 40 charities under the umbrella of the President’s Challenge - raising about $790,000 for President’s Challenge since 2007.
Their efforts were recognized at a tea session held at the Istana on 4 April 2008. President S R Nathan graced the event and mingled with over 160 i-SHINE members, their beneficiaries and staff from Singapore Pools. Seven outstanding leaders received the i-SHINE Leadership Award from President Nathan for their efforts and dedication.

Community Schemes
- Community Housing Scheme in Singapore Pools Branches
The housing of community services at vacant second level units of Singapore Pools branches is a new initiative of Singapore Pools to utilise the available resources in a meaningful way and to give back to the community. In a tripartite sponsorship arrangement, Singapore Pools provides the vacant second level unit of its branch on a rent-free basis while Tote Board provides funds the cost of renovation.
To date, two start-up welfare organisations have benefited from this scheme as they operate out of the second level unit of our Yishun Central and Hougang N1 branches respectively. To read more about their causes, click on the links below:
