Project SPHERE stands for Students, Singapore Pools and HDB Enriching and Reaching Out to the Elderly. This is a joint initiative between Singapore Pools, Tote Board, Housing Development Board and the Ministry of Education.
Launched in 2002, Project SPHERE (Students,
Singapore Pools and HDB Enriching and Reaching Out to the Elderly) is a joint
initiative between Singapore Pools, Housing Development Board and the Ministry
of Education.
Since its inception, Project SPHERE has
benefitted 99,111 elderly residents through 3,278 activities. As at the end of
FY19/20, 313 volunteers from Singapore Pools have joined hands with 133,927
students to reach out to these elderly residents in the community through
spring cleaning and engagement activities.
