1. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Singapore Pools, Mr Seah Chin Siong will be leaving Singapore Pools on 30 April 2019 to assume the role of President & Chief Executive Officer of the Singapore Institute of Management, effective 1 May 2019.

  2. Mr Seah joined Singapore Pools as Deputy CEO on 1 October 2012 and was appointed CEO on 1 January 2015.  A forward-looking leader, he instituted transformational changes to enable Pools to remain relevant in the dynamic digital economy. During his tenure, Pools successfully attained Exempt Operator status under the Remote Gambling Act (2014) and sustained the highest level of certification (Level 4) in Responsible Gaming, awarded by the World Lottery Association. With his passion to build a stronger charity sector through technology, Mr Seah initiated iShine Cloud, a charity set up by Singapore Pools to provide charities with a secure and affordable cloud-based IT platform with an integrated suite of sector-specific solutions. Pools staff will fondly remember him for strengthening employee training and people development by introducing Learning Organisation principles and Systems Thinking.
     

  3. Mr Koh Choon Hui, Chairman Singapore Pools said "On behalf of the Board and Management of Singapore Pools, I would like to express our deep appreciation to Chin Siong for his contributions to the company and his leadership to enhance the Charity sector through digitalisation. We wish him our very best in his next appointment." The announcement on the appointment of the new CEO will be made at an appropriate time.

The government established Singapore Pools on 23 May 1968 to provide safe and trusted betting to counter illegal gambling. As a not-for-profit organisation, all of Singapore Pools' surplus are channeled to Tote Board to fund a wide range of causes in social service, community development, sports, the arts, education and health sectors. Currently, Singapore Pools contributes about $2 billion annually to the Government in the form of taxes and duties, and for the funding of good causes.

 

To ensure our responsible gaming practices are benchmarked to international standards, we adopt the World Lottery Association's Responsible Gaming Framework and received the highest level of certification (Level 4) in 2012 and gained re-certification in 2015.
