Tiong Bahru ¨C The filial son in his late twenties had an idea. He knew his father who had suffered a mild stroke was feeling depressed. Once fit and lively, his father now spends his days in his room with nothing to do. The son decided to give his father an ¡®important¡¯ assignment. Twice a week, he would ask his father to ¡®assist¡¯ him to buy one set of his favourite Toto numbers. He was also in charge of checking those numbers. The son reckoned the short walks to the outlet nearby to buy the ticket and check the results would be good for his dad. More importantly, his father felt useful again. The son was very happy with this arrangement and was extremely surprised when his father called him while he was at work to inform him he was now a millionaire. His numbers were drawn in 11 May 2006 Toto draw.

Sweep Draw Number 05/2006
Bukit Batok - This man in his fifties has won many small prizes from 4-D and Toto. The father of two grown children firmly believes such luck is from the heavens and should be shared with the less fortunate. He was not surprised to have won the $2 million prize money in April, as he always knew he was lucky. This man who is still working in the construction industry will be as usual donating a large part of his winning to charity. Asked if he has shared the good news with his family, ¡°Of course not!¡± came the reply. ¡°If I tell them, they will finally buy the new furniture they have been asking for. This will totally change the feng shui of my place and I will no longer be lucky!¡±??

Buffalo Road - The sixty-year-old security guard was taking a break with one of his colleagues. He settled into his chair with his coffee and causally glanced at his colleague who was busy checking his many Toto numbers against the results in the newspaper. When he saw the numbers, he almost chocked on his coffee. He knew his numbers well because for a dollar, he only had 2 rows of 6 numbers. With $1.46 million, he could finally help his three married children buy the flats they are renting. "Are you alright?" asked his concerned colleague. The security guard realized he had spilled almost half his coffee on the floor. "Oh I'm alright," he smiled, "things are definitely alright."

Toa Payoh - This distinguish looking gentleman joined the queue of taxis as they waited for their fares. He was no stranger to a hard life, having been through life's ups and downs. Even with the threat of bankruptcy, he was determined to provide for his family. In his late forties, he was in a senior management position with a large multi national corporation until he was retrenched a few years ago. He picked himself up and started a business, which went well for a while, when things turned for the worse. He tried to stave off bankruptcy but his current income was insufficient to repay the loans from his failed business. "So be it!" he sighed, "as long as I can still feed my family." He was almost at the head of the queue. He had some time to spare so he took out his Toto ticket to match the result slip he picked up at a nearby Singapore Pools outlet earlier. A smile slowly emerged. Life it seems has once again surprised him. He had won $1.46 million in the 11 May 2006 Toto Draw.

The Management and Staff of Singapore Pools Wishes all Singaporeans a Happy National Day!

As part of this year¡¯s National Day celebration, Singaporeans are paying tribute to the National Stadium. A national icon, the National Stadium became the pride of the nation when it opened its doors in 1973.

Singapore Pools is closely linked to the National Stadium. We were the Stadium¡¯s first sponsor and between 1968 (when we were established) to 1976, over $20 million from the sales of Singapore Sweep and Toto were channeled to the construction and management of the Stadium.

Warm memories of the National Stadium will always live in our hearts. As the nation marks the passing of this national icon, Singapore Pools thanks you, our customer, for your support all these years and for helping to build the Singapore Indoor Stadium, The Esplanade: Theatres on the Bay and many other new community facilities.
