TOTO Game Rules (Remote Betting)

  1. General

    1. These TOTO Game Rules (Remote Betting) apply to Participants who place Bets using the Account Betting System. Participants are also subject to the TOTO Game Rules (General) whose definitions are applicable to these TOTO Game Rules (Remote Betting).

    2. For the avoidance of doubt, and notwithstanding anything in the TOTO Game Rules (General) to the contrary, the Company may in its sole and absolute discretion, reject (whether wholly or partially) any Bets placed or requests for the placing of Bets.

    3. Only an Account Holder can place Bets using the Account Betting System. The Account Holder is assumed to have read, understood and agreed to the Account Opening and Operating Terms and Conditions, the Betting Website Terms and Conditions, and the TOTO Game Rules (General).

    4. Bets placed using an Account Holder's Account are deemed to have been placed by or under the instructions of the Account Holder, and the Company is under no obligation to inquire or verify whether the person placing the Bet is in fact the Account Holder.

    5. The Account Holder shall be responsible at all times for checking the accuracy of the particulars of Bets placed using the Account Betting System. The Company shall not be liable for any losses, damages, costs or expenses whatsoever suffered, incurred or sustained by or threatened against the Account Holder howsoever arising, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, as a result of any failure, error or delay in the Bet placement using the Account Betting System for any reason whatsoever.

    6. All Bets placed using the Account Betting System shall be subject to such maximum and minimum Stake amount limits as may be stipulated by the Company from time to time.

  2. Placing a Bet via the Betting Website

    1. To place a Bet on the Betting Website using the Account Betting System, the Account Holder must comply with the following procedures and any other instructions that are issued by the Company on the Betting Website from time to time:-

      1. log into the Account Betting System via the Betting Website, and proceed to the Lottery webpage to select the relevant option(s).

      2. a one-time password ("OTP") will be sent to the Account Holder's registered Singapore mobile number, which the Account Holder will then need to key in for the purpose of authentication.

      3. the Account Holder shall then select the options made available at that point in time by the Company for the placement of Bets, including but not limited to the Self Pick and Quick Pick options.

      4. the Account Holder is only allowed to place up to the prescribed maximum number of bets as may be specified by the Company from time to time.

      5. to place a Bet, the Account Holder shall select or input the following options/details on the Betting Website in accordance with the instructions provided on the Betting Website:

        1. the set(s) of numbers on which Bet(s) are to be placed or through the random number generator option.

        2. the Relevant Draw date(s) and the Relevant Draw number(s); and

        3. the Stake amount, which shall be subject to such limits and/or terms as may be stipulated by the Company from time to time.

      6. the Account Holder shall remain on the page where the Bet is placed whilst the Bet is being processed, and shall wait for confirmation as to whether the Bet has been accepted.

      7. once the Account Holder clicks on "Place Bet" or "Accept" as the case may be, he is deemed to have made an offer to the Company for the Bet option(s) selected.

      8. the Company will proceed to deduct the amount of the Stake.

      9. if full deduction of the monies owed for payment of the Bet is not or cannot be completed, the Company will declare the Bet invalid, and the Company may make a counter-offer or the Account Holder's offer may be rejected at the Company's discretion.

      10. a Bet will be deemed valid and accepted only if full payment has been made for the requisite Stake for the Relevant Draw.

    2. By clicking on "Place Bet" or "Accept" as the case may be, the Account Holder is assumed to have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these TOTO Game Rules (Remote Betting), the TOTO Game Rules (General), the Account Opening and Operating Terms and Conditions and the Betting Website’s Terms and Conditions.

    3. Payment for Bets placed will be made using funds available in the Account. In the event there are insufficient funds in the Account, payment will be effected via the direct debit payment arrangement if the Account Holder has opted for such arrangement.

  3. Placing a Bet via Telephone Call

    1. To place a Bet using the telephone, the Account Holder must follow these procedures:

      1. Dial the number provided by the Company for Bet placement, and log in using Account Holder's Account Number ("AN") or NRIC Number and PIN based on the instructions given by the prompter.

      2. The Account Holder will instruct the Company, through selecting a series of numbers through the Interactive Voice Response system ("IVR") or the Company's designated representative(s), as may be made available by the Company at its discretion and as stated in the Account Opening and Operating Terms and Conditions.

      3. The IVR will inform the Account Holder about the Relevant Draw date(s) and provide the Account Holder with options corresponding to the relevant number the Account Holder needs to select to make his selection.

      4. For the avoidance of doubt, where the Account Betting System provides for the draw days on which the TOTO Game is available for entry and participation in, the days as notified to the Account Holder shall always refer to the day available for entry nearest to the date of call.

      5. Just before the Bet is placed, the Account Holder will be asked to verify his Bet a final time. Once the Account Holder asks that the Bet be placed, he is deemed to have made an offer to the Company for the selected betting options and Stake.

      6. After the offer is made, the Company will proceed to deduct the amount of the Stake.

      7. If full deduction of the monies owed for payment of the Bet is not or cannot be completed, the Company will declare the Bet invalid and reject the Bet. In that event, the Company may in its discretion, make such counter-offer to the Account Holder as it deems fit.

      8. Bets will be deemed valid and accepted only if full payment has been made for the requisite Stake for the Relevant Draw.

      9. The Account Holder should also check the "Transaction History" section of the "My Account" page for details of the Bets placed.

    2. In the event the instructions given by the Account Holder to the Company over the telephone are regarded by the Company to be ambiguous, contradictory or conflicting, the Company may either treat these instructions as void, or act upon these instructions based on good faith and on reasonable assumptions as to what such instructions mean. The Account Holder agrees to waive and release the Company from any and all claims and to indemnify the Company against all losses, damages, costs, expenses and liability suffered by the Company as a result of the Company regarding the instructions as void, or otherwise acting in the abovementioned manner.

    3. The Company is entitled to, at its sole and absolute discretion, verify any instruction received that purport to originate from the Account Holder, before acting in accordance with such instructions, and the Company reserves its rights not to proceed with any such instructions if such instructions cannot be so verified. The Company shall not be held liable for any claim, loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the Company acting in accordance with or not acting in accordance with such instructions.

    4. The Company reserves its rights not to accept any instructions received without giving any reason whatsoever. The Company shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by the Account Holder arising out of or in connection with the Company accepting or not accepting the instructions from or purportedly from the Account Holder.

    5. The Company reserves the right, and may in its discretion (but shall not be bound) to refer to and rely on its contemporaneous recordings (if any) of any telephone conversations with the Account Holder to resolve any disputes with the Account Holder.

  4. Placing a Bet via Subscription option

    1. Subject to the betting limits referred to in Rule 1.6, the Company may, at its discretion, make available the option for an Account Holder to place Bets through the Account Betting System across 10 consecutive draws based on the numbers selected (whether via Quick Pick or Self Pick) for a particular Entry ("TOTO Subscription"), by such means or methods and upon such conditions as the Company may deem fit, including but not limited to maximum limits on the number of TOTO Subscriptions allowed to be placed and maintained.

    2. If the TOTO Subscription is for 5 Self-Pick ‘System 7' Bets, the same set of numbers selected by the Account Holder when placing the TOTO Subscription will be automatically placed by the Company on behalf of the Account Holder for 10 consecutive draws. If however, the TOTO Subscription is for 5 QuickPick Bets, a set of numbers which is randomly generated at each draw will be placed by the Company on behalf of the Account Holder for 10 consecutive draws.

    3. Upon the successful placement of a TOTO Subscription, the first Bet under the TOTO Subscription will be automatically placed when sales open for the next TOTO draw. If the TOTO Subscription is made on a Tuesday, the first Bet will not be for the Thursday draw, but for the Monday draw instead as sales would already have opened for the Thursday draw on Tuesday.

    4. The Account Holder may check the details of his TOTO Subscription on the Betting Website, and/or cancel his Subscription by either contacting the Company or through the Betting Website.

    5. Where the request to cancel the TOTO Subscription is submitted via any of the two methods listed at Rule 4.4 above, or where the Account Holder provides the Company with written notice of termination of his Account in accordance with the Account Opening and Operating Terms and Conditions (either of which shall hereinafter be referred to as a "Cancellation Request"), the Cancellation Request will take immediate effect.

    6. The TOTO Subscription shall remain active until a Cancellation Request has been made by the Account Holder in accordance with the abovementioned methods, or until all of the Bets under the TOTO Subscription have been placed, whichever occurs first. Once notice is given by the Account Holder to terminate his Account in accordance with the Account Opening and Operating Terms and Conditions, all TOTO Subscriptions of the Account Holder shall be cancelled with immediate effect. If the Account Holder decides thereafter to reverse, withdraw or retract his decision to terminate his Account, and wishes to resume placing Bets with the Company under the TOTO Subscription scheme, the Account Holder will need to place a fresh TOTO Subscription with the Company.

    7. The Account Holder's account will be debited upon each successful placement of a Bet under the TOTO Subscription.

    8. Payment for Bets under a TOTO Subscription will be made in accordance with the provisions of Rule 2.3.

    9. Each attempt at placing a Bet under a TOTO Subscription will amount to a Bet made under the TOTO Subscription, regardless of whether or not the Bet was successfully placed.

    10. Notwithstanding that no Bet has been placed by the Company on the Account Holder's behalf in respect of any particular Draw by reason of insufficiency of funds in the Account, the Company will nevertheless proceed with the subsequent draws within the TOTO Subscription, if any. The TOTO Subscription will continue to be executed until the TOTO Subscription has been completed.

  5. Transaction Records for Remote Betting

    1. The Company shall make available to the Account Holder, via such communication channels as may be agreed, the Transaction History of his/her Bets.

    2. Details of all valid and successful Bet transactions under the Account as recorded in the Company's computer systems will be reflected in the "Transaction History" section of the Account Holder's "My Account" page. The Account Holder should check the Transaction History to ascertain if any Bet placed or intended to be placed, has been accepted by the Company.

    3. The Account Holder acknowledges that due to technical limitations, the Transaction History cannot be processed and updated immediately upon the end of the Bet placement made by the Account Holder. Any information which the Account Holder obtains from the Transaction History pending the processing and updating thereof may therefore not accurately represent the current state of the Account Holder's transactions (and the details thereof) under the Account, and shall in those circumstances, not be binding on the Company.

    4. The Account Holder who places Bet(s) with the Company through the Account Betting System shall be responsible for checking the details in the Transaction History for any errors or omissions therein upon the Transaction History being made available to the Account Holder on the Internet and/or any other electronic media. Any errors in, omissions from or disagreement with the details in the Transaction History must be notified to the Company at least sixty (60) minutes (or such other time period as may be stipulated by the Company from time to time in its sole discretion) before the start of the Relevant Draw, failing which the Account Holder shall be deemed to have accepted that the details in the Transaction History are true and accurate in all material respects notwithstanding that in those circumstances, the Account Holder may or does not have the opportunity to notify the Company of any errors in, omissions from or disagreement with the details in the Transaction History.

    5. The information or data as recorded in the Company's computer systems on all Bets placed by the Account Holder through the Account Betting System shall be binding on the Account Holder.

  6. Claim for Payment of Prizes

    1. Prizes for Bets placed through the Account Betting System shall be transferred/credited directly into the Account Holder's Account in accordance with the Account Opening and Operating Terms and Conditions, as may be amended by the Company from time to time.

    2. Any prize payable by the Company in respect of any Winning Bet will be deposited in the Account Holder's Account.

    3. If the money has not been credited into the Account Holder's Account after 5 working days from the Relevant Draw date, the Account Holder shall contact the Company by no later than one hundred and eighty (180) days after the date the Relevant Draw, failing which the Company shall be entitled to forfeit the prize. In the event of any dispute, the Account Holder can contact the Company. The Company's decision on the matter shall be final and binding.

    4. Prize payments which have been erroneously transferred / credited to the Account Holder are recoverable by the Company from the Account Holder's Account at any time.

  7. The draws to which the Rules apply

    Subject to Rule 8.4 of the TOTO Game Rules (General), these TOTO Game Rules (Remote Betting) shall apply to TOTO Draw No. 3209/2016 and all subsequent TOTO draws.
