Co-organised by Singapore Pools, Football Association of Singapore (FAS) and Sport Singapore (SportSG), with grant partner Tote Board and venue partner Our Tampines Hub, Football With A Heart (FWAH) successfully concluded on 26 November 2022. Back after a three-year hiatus, FWAH endeavours to reinforce the strong commitment of Singapore’s companies to use sports as a force for social good.
The 7th edition of Singapore’s largest executive football charity fundraiser was graced by Guest-of-Honour Mr Tan Chuan-Jin, Speaker of Parliament. This year, with the support of 50 sponsors and Tote Board matching dollar-for-dollar donations, a record-breaking amount of $1,051,000 was raised for six beneficiaries - FAS Cares, Filos Community Services Ltd, GreenSG Collab Ltd., Heartware Network, iShine Cloud Limited and SportCares.
Close to 500 participants came together for FWAH 2022, with Parliamentarians, local celebrities, ex-national football players, as well as 40 corporate teams donning their jerseys for a morning of football fun.
The special celebrity tournament featured the likes of Parliamentarians like Mr Tan Chuan-Jin and Mr Seah Kian Peng, as well as local artistes like Li Nanxing and Ian Fang, alongside local football legends like Lim Tong Hai and Noor Ali.
After an intense battle on the pitch, Singapore Exchange Group emerged as the champion of the corporate tournament, while the FAS Legends won the celebrity tournament.
Inaugurated in 2012, FWAH is Singapore’s first and only executive football charity fund-raiser set up as a partnership between private and public sectors to raise much-needed funds for the disadvantaged. The event is Singapore Pool’s flagship fundraiser which reinforces the use of football as a force for good. To-date, including FWAH 2022, more than $5 million has been raised for 45 unique charities and social enterprises.
