Mr Lam Chee Weng, Chief Executive Officer of Singapore Pools, receiving the Champion of Good plaque from Guest-of-Honour Mr Gan Kim Yong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry, at the Company of Good Conference & Conferment Ceremony on 20 July 2026.

Singapore Pools has been conferred Champion of Good - the highest tier under the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre's (NVPC) Company of Good Recognition System. The accolade recognises organisations that demonstrate excellence in embedding corporate purpose across their business strategies, operations and stakeholder engagement, while creating positive impact for society.

The assessment recognised Singapore Pools' strong commitment to Corporate Purpose, reflecting how deeply purpose is embedded across its operations. It also highlighted Singapore Pools' strong performance across the five impact areas of Society, People, Governance, Economy and Environment, with particularly strong results in Society and People - performing above the industry benchmark across all five areas.

A trusted operator, channelling returns back to the community

As Singapore's only legal lottery and sports betting operator, Singapore Pools provides a safe and trusted betting option while supporting causes that strengthen communities. As a not-for-profit organisation, its surplus is channelled to Tote Board, which provides broad-based funding support for social and community well-being.

For every $1 spent at Singapore Pools, 97 cents stays in Singapore through prize payouts, taxes, duties, and contributions to Tote Board. Together, these contributions have supported more than 800 community projects, helping to make a positive difference in the lives of Singaporeans.

Giving back and building connections

Giving back is in Singapore Pools' DNA. The company works closely with community partners to create opportunities for both employees and the public to make a positive difference. For more than two decades, employees have volunteered their time and skills across a wide range of causes - from engaging disadvantaged children and bringing joy to seniors, to supporting mental well-being and other community needs. Initiatives such as Football With A Heart and Community With A Heart bring employees, the public and partners together, strengthening communities through collective action.

Our Singapore Pools volunteers continue to spread festive cheer to the community all year long.

Singapore Pools also supports charities and the wider community through initiatives that create opportunities for people to connect and thrive. These include Hub With A Heart @ Bukit Merah, which brings together seniors through programmes that promote active ageing and social connectedness, and Hub With A Heart @ Serangoon, which provides a space for youths to learn, collaborate and connect with the community. In addition, the Community Housing Scheme provides affordable office space for charities and social service organisations, while Singapore Pools Academy training programmes help strengthen capabilities within the social sector.

Health Qigong enthusiasts came together at Hub With A Heart @ Bukit Merah for a meaningful exchange of learning and practice - a space that can be converted into a community hub, bringing people together through learning, wellness and social activities.

Investing in people, alongside community

Singapore Pools' commitment to doing good also extends to its people. Through fair employment practices, career development opportunities, workforce upskilling, work-life harmony, and initiatives that promote employees' health, safety and well-being, the company fosters an inclusive and supportive workplace. By investing in its people and working closely with community partners, Singapore Pools continues to create meaningful and lasting impact for the communities it serves.

Singapore Pools is named a Champion of Good and will continue to create meaningful and lasting impact for the communities it serves.
