28 corporate teams battled it out in a total of 94 matches played out on the stately Padang on 25 August 2012 at 'Football With A Heart'. Prominent business and sport leaders such as Courts chief executive officer Mr Terry D O'Connor; head of Emirates Singapore and Brunei Mr Nick Rees; Morgan Stanley executive director Mr Stewart Forsyth; and S-League chief executive officer Mr Lim Chin donned their team colours for a day of five-a-side friendly matches.

After hard-fought games against teams from Symantec, RHB Bank, Fairprice and Courts in the group stages, Team Sembcorp emerged as group winners to face off with FAS Stunners in the quarterfinals. They then overcame Team HP in the semi-finals to set up a mouth-watering clash against an equally strong Team SSC in the final. Team Sembcorp finally won on penalty kick after a 2-2 draw at full-time.

The friendly football tournament also featured two exhibition matches – one between FAS Junior U-12 Team and Vanda Academy U-12 Team, and the highly anticipated Parliament Team versus CEOs United. The Parliament Team, which comprised of Mr Teo Ser Luck, Mr Michael Palmer, Dr Janil Puthucheary, Mr Seah Kian Peng, Mr Zainudin Nordin, Mr Edwin Tong, and His Excellency Waldemar Dubaniowski, Ambassador of Poland, drew 1-1 against CEOs United, a team made up of business personalities from the Singapore Business Federation, the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce and the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises.

The event culminated in a dinner function, graced by President Tony Tan Keng Yam, where $350,000 raised from ‘Football With A Heart’ was presented to nine beneficiaries.
