Staff volunteers from Team Earth Buddiz, one of the teams under Singapore Pools' Staff Community Programme, iShine, participated in the Clean & Green SG50 Mass Planting exercise in Oct 2015. Aided by professional planters from the National Parks (NParks), our volunteers planted 100 trees in Kallang Riverside Park on 6 and 16 Oct.

The mass tree planting was part of the NParks’ celebration of Singapore’s Golden Jubilee. More than 5,000 trees were planted along the Park Connector Network, parks and Nature Ways islandwide between 1 Aug to 31 Oct 2015.

All proceeds from the planting go to the Garden City Fund, which funds NParks’ outreach and education programmes, as well as research and conservation projects.

Apart from participation in national green projects, Team Earth Buddiz also supports the protection and conservation of Green Singapore through fund-raising for The Nature Society and the Singapore Environment Council, facilitate green education for beneficiaries and educate Singapore Pools’ staff about environmental conservation and green practices. Upcoming activities organised by Earth Buddiz will include a nature walk in Pulau Ubin and a water appreciation workshop.
