Christine, an active Singapore Pools' iShine staff volunteer, together with 24 other colleagues and their family members, participated in the Community Chest Heartstrings Walk 2018 @ Marina Bay Sands on the morning of 25 August 2018.  The Walk was organized by Community Chest to celebrate the nation's fifty-third birthday, its thirty-fifth anniversary, and Singapore as a giving and caring community. The event was graced by Guest-of-Honour, Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean.

Event included a 4km Fun Walk, a Vertical Marathon which goes up the 57storey of Marina Bay Sands building, as well as fun-filled fringe activities at the Event Plaza. On top of that, participants took a nice leisure stroll along the waterfront trail at Marina Bay.  Said Christine: "It was a good feeling to be able to raise funds to improve the quality of life for less fortunate Singaporeans, and at the same time share a pleasant morning with my colleagues."

Singapore Pools has always been a strong supporter of fund-raising events.  For the eleventh year running, we remain as a supportive corporate sponsor for the Heartstrings Walk.  Singapore Pools' employees were among 5,700 participants from 38 organisations who took part in the Walk to help raise funds for Community Chest.  The event raised over $1,600,000 for the various charities under the umbrella of Community Chest.
