Bright Vision Hospital (BVH) is the nation's first public community hospital providing a comprehensive range of inpatient services for sub-acute, rehabilitation, palliative and chronic sick patients. BVH conducted charity draws which started from April to the middle of June to raise much needed funds to improve the quality of care of its patients.

To support BVH in its fund-raising efforts, Singapore Pools and its authorised retailers availed resources to sell donation tickets between 1 April and 12 May 2019 at $3 a piece. BVH hopes to raise S$180,000 and all funds raised will go towards the healing journey of its elderly and needy patients.

Located in Hougang, BVH is a 317-bedded community hospital offering intermediate and long-term care service to about 1,500 new patients a year. As a voluntary community project by the Singapore Buddhist Welfare Services, BVH was established in 2001. It catered especially to the needy and the elderly regardless of race and religion.

Within the hospital, you would find there is also a Day Rehabilitation Centre for outpatients, as well as a magnificent Sky Garden which allows therapists to conduct exercises with patients in a relaxing environment surrounded by greenery. More than 60% of its patients come from low-income families.

The donation draw will take place on July 12. Results of the draw will be published within a week after the draw on BVH's website (www.bvh.org.sg)
