The history of motorsport, or competitive sporting events featuring the use of motorised vehicles, dates back to more than 120 years ago, and there are many types of motorsport competitions known to the world. Of all these, the most famous and also the highest level of Motor Racing traces its roots to the Grand Prix races of the 1920s, and the first World Championship race was held in 1950 in Britain.
2021 sees the introduction of a new race location in Saudi Arabia, as well as the return of a race destination in Holland after an absence of more than 30 years. All these are part of an expansion in what is expected to be the busiest season in Motor Racing history, as teams prepare to take on a host of challenges on multiple intriguing fronts.
