We are looking for a passionate and professional Director to join our Enterprise & Gaming Technology team.

Based in Singapore and reporting into the Chief Business Technology Officer, the incumbent leads the team managing vendor-supplied gaming systems (lottery, sports betting, horse racing) and enterprise platforms such as SAP. This role is accountable for driving mission-critical application development and implementation aligned with business strategy, ensuring close collaboration between IT and Business to deliver enhanced value. Key responsibilities include product management, vendor performance management, directing and forward planning of the systems capability development in line with the business strategy while maintaining system version integrity in partnership with the vendors.

The position demands strong architecture and design skills to enable enhancements through external integrations without altering core systems, while fostering effective partnerships with Business Technology colleagues and vendors to meet evolving business requirements, safeguard system stability, reliability and ensure compliance.

What You'll Do

  • You will define and execute strategies for managing gaming and enterprise systems in alignment with vendor roadmaps and organizational strategy.
  • You will ensure system version integrity by adhering to vendor-supported releases and preventing custom branching.
  • You will build strong partnerships with vendors to influence product direction, secure timely support, and maintain alignment with business objectives.
  • You will lead the team in developing and implementing mission-critical applications, ensuring close collaboration between IT and Business for quality solutioning.
  • You will translate business strategies into technical requirements, determine cost-effective solutions, and advise business units on implementation.
  • You will oversee incident resolution, change management, release planning, and coordination of projects and new system launches or enhancements.
  • You will monitor vendor performance against SLAs, manage escalations, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to ensure satisfaction.
  • You will ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and operational standards while reviewing and approving specifications and documentation.
  • You will provide architectural oversight for integrations and enhancements outside the core platform and lead feasibility studies for new requirements.
  • You will plan and supervise mission-critical system recovery and contingency support, including resource allocation and risk management.
  • You will provide strong leadership and guidance to the Enterprise & Gaming Technology team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • You will build long-term cross-functional relationships and promote effective teamwork across departments.
  • You will oversee all aspects of people management, including staffing decisions, coaching, development, and performance evaluation.
  • You will develop team capabilities in product management, vendor engagement, and architectural design to meet strategic objectives.
  • You will set clear performance targets, ensure compliance with corporate standards, and counsel staff on career and performance development.

 

Who You Are

  • You have a Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science or related IT discipline.
  • You have minimum 10 years of experience in IT product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing vendor-supplied systems.
  • You have at least 6-8 years of experience in an enterprise of a size comparable to Singapore Pools.
  • You have proven experience in facilitating the development and implementation of business initiatives and projects, based on management objectives.
  • You bring expertise in product management of vendor-supplied enterprise and gaming systems.
  • You have strong understanding of system architecture, design principles, and integration strategies.
  • You have knowledge of IT service management, change control, and release processes.
  • You are able to manage complex application landscapes and maintain version integrity.
  • You have excellent vendor management and negotiation skills.
  • You have strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
