Singapore, 29 June 2021 - Singapore Pools is pleased to announce that Mr Kaikhushru S. Nargolwala will be appointed as Chairman of Singapore Pools (Private) Limited with effect from 1 July 2021. He succeeds Mr Koh Choon Hui who is stepping down after leading Singapore Pools for eight years.


Mr Koh Choon Hui

Mr Koh Choon Hui was appointed Singapore Pools Chairman in June 2013. Under his leadership, Singapore Pools has been steadfast in its mission to be a responsible gaming operator, continuously achieving the highest level of international responsible gaming standards.

Mr Koh was instrumental in the setting up of iShine Cloud, a charity that provides other charities with affordable cloud-based solutions, and Singapore Pools Academy, formed to institutionalise learning capabilities and programmes developed by Singapore Pools over the years.


Mr Kaikhushru S. Nargolwala

Mr Kai Nargolwala has held the post of Deputy Chairman at Singapore Pools since January 2021. He brings with him over 40 years of experience in the financial services sector in Europe, the US and Asia. Mr Nargolwala is currently on the Board of PSA International Pte Ltd, Credit Suisse AG and is the Chairman of 65 Equity Partners Pte. Ltd.

He earned his first class Honors Degree in Economics from the University of Delhi, and has been awarded the Public Service Star Medal (Bintang Bakti Masyarakat) in recognition of his service to Singapore.


Singapore Pools welcomes Mr Nargolwala’s appointment as Chairman for Singapore Pools and expresses deep appreciation to Mr Koh Choon Hui for his contributions to Singapore Pools.

Singapore Pools was established by the Singapore government on 23 May 1968 to provide safe and trusted betting to counter illegal gambling. As a not-for-profit organisation, all of Singapore Pools’ surpluses are channelled to Tote Board to fund a wide range of causes in social service, community development, sports, arts, education and health sectors. Since 2004, over $5 billion have been channelled to Tote Board. In addition, Singapore Pools also contributes about $2 billion annually to the Government in the form of taxes and duties.
