In Singapore Pools, we are dedicated to fostering a learning culture that empowers our employees to thrive. Recognizing that continuous learning is essential for personal and professional growth, we have introduced learning programs to encourage employees to embrace new knowledge and skills.
In October 2023, we received the National Workplace Learning Certification (Gold) Award from the National Centre of Excellence for Workplace Learning (NACE) in recognition of our efforts.
In addition to conducting various field trips and lessons by in-house facilitators, our dedication to enhancing the skills of our staff remains unwavering, aiming to assist our employees in their professional development. Singapore Pools collaborated with Singapore Polytechnic to develop the Micro Credential certificate for our frontliners. This stacked certificate enables our frontliners to continually improve themselves by equipping themselves with digital literacy and service excellence skills, enabling them to uphold good service quality standards in their line of work.
Our dedication to developing individuals goes beyond the company, as we firmly believe that a proficient workforce can make a meaningful contribution to the wider community. Singapore Pools is proud to support The Singapore Manual & Mercantile Workers’ Union (SMMWU) through a $250,000 training grant. This grant will provide union members access to training programs, enabling them to bolster their skills sets and expand their knowledge base.
This sponsorship underscored the longstanding tripartite relationship between Singapore Pools, NTUC and SMMWU, as well as the shared dedication to advancing the personal and professional development of workers in Singapore. We hope to extend this culture to like-minded organisations and unions, ensuring workers possess the requisite competencies to stay ahead of the curve and navigate the ever-changing demands of today’s workforce.
