National certification

In 2017, Singapore Pools was awarded the Eco-Office Certification and was recertified in 2022, showing its commitment to be an environmentally responsible organisation. Sustainable practices are being implemented through daily operations, developing a behavioural change to cultivate a green culture.

Reduction in paper and electricity use

Singapore Pools has over 300 outlets island-wide and a headquarters at Middle Road. The committee is taking action to reduce the consumption of paper and electricity power within our premises and retail network, to reduce our impact on the environment.

Singapore Pools is gradually transforming outlet operations to use less paper and electricity.

Lightings within Singapore Pools’ building adopt energy-saving lights To keep track of Singapore Pool's building consumption rate, smart metering was put in place together with a Green wall board to track carbon, electricity and water consumption in the building.

From 12 July 2016, lottery and sports results will no longer be in printed form at our branches.

Customers can find the information on info kiosks at the outlets and website ( or follow us on Facebook* (Singapore Pools Results) or Twitter* (@sgpools).

* Only lottery results available.

In September 2018, Singapore Pools also launched the first-generation eBetslip app to lessen the use of Betslips and thus reduce our environmental impact. Read more about this here.

Continuous staff education

We understand that our staff play a crucial part in creating a green work environment.

The committee organises talks and workshops for staff to participate in and gain greater awareness of environmental issues. In addition, the company drives behaviors towards the habits of recycling and conserving electricity within the office premises.

Initiatives and programmes

As a socially responsible organisation, Singapore Pools has always been mindful of our impact on the environment.

Staff champion green causes

Since 2003, staff volunteers have been leading initiatives and organising activities which centre on protecting and conserving our environment. Under Team Earth Buddiz, one of the six staff led volunteer groups, they have work with various partners like GreenSG COLLAB, Nature Society (Singapore) and Preschool Market. From fund-raising for these beneficiaries to rallying staff to be more aware of our actions on the environment, Earth Buddiz has been tireless in championing the green cause at Singapore Pools.

Past Activities:
• Operation We Clean Up at Middle Road
• Talk on reducing our carbon footprint
• Coastal clean-up at Lim Chu Kang
• Tree planting at Kallang Riverside Park

Earth Hour

Since moving into Singapore Pools Building in 2013, we have supported the international Earth Hour initiative by switching off facade and non-essential building lightings from 8.30pm to 9.30pm.
