In another show of our commitment to nation-building causes, we started collaborating with social service agencies like ART:DIS, Campus Impact and National Kidney Foundation to create spaces for social service agencies to help the community.

ART:DIS @ Bukit Merah

Our most recent endeavor is the provision of funding for the renovations of ART:DIS @ Bukit Merah. The new centre at Bukit Merah, the third by ART:DIS, was officially unveiled on 14 October 2022. The renovation of the centre also led to the birth of a professionally equipped studio within ART:DIS and presented young musicians, like Sky Shen a chance to record and launch his debut EP album “Wheel You Love Me?”

About Sky Shen

Sky was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy when he was five and has been wheelchair-bound since the age of 12. His condition, however, did little to deter him from pursuing his dream of becoming a singer-songwriter. His efforts finally paid off in 2020 when ART:DIS recognised his talents and included him in their BEYOND DIS:PLAY programme. We are very heartened to see how we became part of his music career success with the facilities that were built.

Singapore Pools-CampusImpact Room To Grow

Officially opened in 2021,  this space is an extension of CampusImpact’s operations in Yishun. It offers art therapy, dance and movement therapy, play therapy and animal-assisted interventions, all of which play a critical role in helping children develop in a holistic manner.

Our funds also provided CampusImpact to build on their existing programmes, to improve and offer these programmes to a wider range of children and youth from lower income families. Most recently, we also supported Campus Impact’s Study Buddy 2023 Programme, which is being conducted at its Yishun centre and two ComLink sites in Admiralty and Marsiling. With these support, we hope to help children and their families to pick up important life skills and grow in resilience.

The Loving Heart Multi-Service Centre (LVMSC) and the Loving Heart Active Ageing Centre (LVAAC)

Situated at Blk 210 and Blk 318A Jurong East, the two centers have reopened their doors to seniors and families after undergoing upgrading in 2023 funded by Singapore Pools. With seniors expected to make up about one quarter of Singapore's population by 2030 and with 1 out of 3 residents in Yuhua being over 60 years old, more spaces are needed for seniors to gather and engage meaningfully with their friends and in active ageing programs. Recognising this need, Singapore Pools stepped forward to fund part of the renovation works and hope these enhanced facilities will continue to serve as vital hubs for social connection, support, and enrichment.

Singapore Pools-NKF Dialysis Centre

Located at New Upper Changi, the Singapore Pools-NKF Dialysis Centre is a joint initiative between the organisations to provide holistic care for patients who needs dialysis service. As part of Singapore Pool’s effort to reach out to the community, we also organise activities at the dialysis centre and have our staff volunteers to spent time with the patient.
