Singapore, 15 October 2026 – Singapore Pools and NTUC LearningHub have formalised a partnership to advance artificial intelligence (AI) capability-building across Singapore Pools’ workforce while extending learning opportunities to Singapore Pools’ charity partners, as part of its AI for Everyone initiative.
Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), NTUC LearningHub will support Singapore Pools’ AI for Everyone initiative by delivering AI training programmes to more than 1,000 employees over the next year. With support from the Singapore Manual & Mercantile Workers' Union (SMMWU), NTUC LearningHub will also provide five complimentary places for Singapore Pools’ charity partners at every AI workshop conducted for employees. Over the course of the partnership, this is expected to benefit more than 300 employees from charity and social service organisations. This will enable them to learn alongside Singapore Pools employees, equipping them with practical AI skills to improve productivity, strengthen organisational capabilities and better support the communities they serve.
The MOU was signed today at Livewire, Singapore Pools Building, by Mr Lam Chee Weng, Chief Executive Officer of Singapore Pools, and Mr Jeremy Ong, Chief Executive Officer of NTUC LearningHub. The signing was witnessed by Mr Ng Chee Meng, Secretary-General of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC).
Mr Ng Chee Meng said: “Every worker should be supported to learn and use AI with confidence. Through NTUC’s AI-Ready SG initiative, NTUC is making AI learning more accessible to workers at different stages of their careers, so that they can adapt, stay relevant and grasp new opportunities as jobs evolve. This partnership between Singapore Pools and NTUC LearningHub extends that commitment beyond Singapore Pools’ own workforce by providing learning opportunities to its charity partners as well. It is a meaningful example of how organisations can bring their workers and partners along as they transform, ensuring that no one is left behind in an AI-enabled economy.”
Extending Capability-Building Beyond Singapore Pools
The collaboration reflects Singapore Pools’ commitment to supporting its community partners beyond funding and financial contributions, by sharing access to learning opportunities, resources and organisational capabilities.
Through AI for Everyone, Singapore Pools aims to equip its employees with the confidence and skills to use AI effectively in their everyday work, while extending these learning opportunities to its charity partners. By learning together, participating organisations can explore how AI tools can help streamline administrative processes, improve the use of information and free up valuable time and resources to focus on serving their beneficiaries.
Programmes will include SkillsFuture for Digital Workplace for frontline employees, Fundamentals of AI Applications for staff beginning their AI journey, and more advanced courses such as AI Innovation Unleashed: Navigating the Terrain of Prompt Engineering and Prompt Power: Elevate Your Microsoft 365 Copilot Skills. These programmes are designed to equip participants with practical skills and confidence to apply AI effectively in their day-to-day work.
Mr Lam Chee Weng, Chief Executive Officer of Singapore Pools, said: “At Singapore Pools, supporting the community goes beyond financial contributions. It is also about sharing the knowledge, resources and capabilities that can help our charity partners do their work more effectively. As we equip our own people with AI skills, we want to extend these opportunities to the organisations we work alongside. By growing our capabilities together, we hope to help our partners focus more of their time and resources on what matters most: the communities they serve.”
As the training partner, NTUC LearningHub will draw on its expertise in workforce learning and skills development to deliver AI training that focuses on practical applications of AI, helping participants develop skills they can apply in their respective workplaces.
Mr Jeremy Ong, Chief Executive Officer of NTUC LearningHub, said: “As organisations accelerate AI adoption, it is increasingly important to build both AI capabilities and human intelligence, equipping workers with the technical skills, judgement and adaptability needed to thrive alongside new technologies. Through NTUC LearningHub’s continued collaboration with businesses across different sectors, we have seen that the greatest value from AI is realised when workers are empowered to apply these tools confidently and effectively in their roles. We are pleased to partner Singapore Pools to equip its employees and charity partners with practical AI skills, helping them build the workforce readiness needed to harness AI to improve productivity, innovate and deliver meaningful outcomes.”
Bringing Practical AI Learning to Life
As part of the MOU signing event, participants attended a Practical AI Insights session conducted by Mr Jonah Lee, Associate Trainer at NTUC LearningHub and Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of GoodWhale.
The session demonstrated how AI tools can be applied to everyday work tasks, providing participants with practical insights into how emerging technologies can support greater efficiency and productivity. Through real-world examples and practical applications, attendees explored the use of AI for information gathering, content creation, administrative processes and decision-making support, while gaining insights into its responsible and effective adoption within their organisations.
The collaboration marks another step in Singapore Pools’ efforts to build a future-ready workforce while strengthening the capabilities of its wider community ecosystem, ensuring that the benefits of technological transformation can be shared more broadly.
