Casa Raudha, a charity dedicated to helping individuals and families affected by domestic violence, has opened a centre at 26 New Upper Changi Road. The space is provided by Singapore Pools on a rent-free basis as part of its Community Housing Scheme which provides unutilized space at Singapore Pools outlets to charities for use as office spaces or operations.
Singapore Pools' Chairman, Mr Kai Nargolwala, joined Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat to officiate the opening of this centre, where a streamlined help-seeking process enables victims to undergo safety assessments and receive direct referrals in one convenient location.

Chairman Kai shared, “Domestic violence is not just a personal issue; it is a community issue. It affects individuals, families, and the broader social fabric of our nation. By offering survivors a safe space, access to essential services, and pathways to empowerment, Casa Raudha Cares embodies the compassion and support that every survivor deserves."
Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat also emphasized the importance of strong and stable families as the foundation of a healthy society. He highlighted the need to take a firm stance against family violence and underlined the responsibility we have to raise children in a safe, nurturing environment.
Casa Raudha Chairperson, Ms Shahrany Hassan shared, “Now that we have a headquarters, we are committed to long-term healing and empowerment. Through this initiative, we provide counseling and emotional support, skills training and employment assistance, community outreach and education, and restorative programs for individuals and families. This holistic approach ensures that survivors don't just survive—they thrive."
She also expressed her gratitude, saying, “A special thanks to Singapore Pools, whose generosity funded the renovations and provided lease-free arrangements, creating a sanctuary for healing."
Since 2007, Singapore Pools' Community Housing Scheme has supported numerous welfare organizations by providing affordable office space at selected second-level units of our branches. Casa Raudha is the latest organization to benefit from this initiative, reinforcing Singapore Pools' ongoing efforts to help worthy causes.
This collaboration is not just about offering space but about fostering a culture of care, compassion, and empowerment, aligning with the broader spirit of care and collaboration, especially as the nation celebrates SG60 this year. It reflects a dedication to building a more compassionate society and supporting organizations making a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need.
Singapore Pools will continue to support and collaborate with charitable organizations, fostering a society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
