​We are looking for a passionate and professional Assistant Manager to join our Corporate Strategy team.

Based in Singapore and reporting into the Senior Manager, the incumbent will lead the end-to-end development of bespoke analytical frameworks and develop strategic plans for the company.

What You'll Do

  • You will identify, formulate, and prioritise complex business, regulatory, and strategic analytics use cases.
  • You will lead and contribute to end‑to‑end development of bespoke analytical frameworks and models.
  • You will perform problem formulation, data preparation, model design, validation, simulation, and performance assessment.
  • You will develop, implement, and maintain production‑grade models and code.
  • You will work with functional departments to translate business problems into well-defined use cases and demonstrate the value of implementing analytic projects.  
  • You will support development of Singapore Pools (SPPL)'s in‑house analytics capabilities.
  • You will implement structured analytical and modelling methodologies.
  • You will productionise, maintain, and scale analytics solutions.
  • You will disseminate analytics knowledge and best practices within the team and business users.
  • You will support the identification of opportunities aligned with SPPL's long‑term strategic vision.
  • You will collaborate with regulators, industry partners, and international lottery operators on strategy‑led initiatives.
  • You will apply analytics and modelling to support strategy implementation where relevant.

 

Who You Are

  • Postgraduate degree or PhD in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Operations Research, Business Analytics (Marketing/Finance/Economics), or a related quantitative field.
  • Relevant experience applying probability, optimisation, and simulation models to complex, large‑scale business and regulatory problems.
  • Strong ability to translate business objectives to mathematical formulations and actionable models.
  • Solid grounding in statistics, stochastic processes, forecasting, and risk modelling, with emphasis on validation and interpretability.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for quantitative modelling, simulation, and data analysis.
  • Experience building statistical/analytical models on large transactional data using Python/PySpark.
