TOTO game is the first lottery game in the history of Singapore Pools. The name ‘TOTO’ is derived from a combination of ‘Totalisator’ and ‘Lotto’.
1981
1981
Snowballing feature was introduced, allowing prize amounts to grow if there were no winners. The System Entry option was introduced later in the same year.
1988

The format of the game was updated from a ‘5-out-of-49’ to a ‘6-out-of-42’ format. The top prize was raised to an assured sum of $300,000.
1997

Game is tweaked to a ‘6-out-of-45’ format with a Jackpot prize guaranteed at $500,000.

Six Winning Numbers and one additional number are drawn from 49 numbers each
Monday and Thursday. The Jackpot sum begins from $1,000,000.
